Letters from readers III: Occupation in ATEP

Through this medium I will answer the reader María Susana Moreno about her letter “Occupation in ATEP” of 01/23. I am an educator and I was never affiliated with ATEP, but I am part of a group of retired teachers, where there are many affiliated with that union. For this reason I see myself in the moral obligation to answer him, because we know the winning secretary, and as the reading says, “hand in hand with truth and justice”, we do not believe that Professor Hugo Marcelo Brito has “seized” of the union without having an endorsement that allows him and all those who make up the winning list to be at the ATEP headquarters, since we know several of them and they are blameless people who always performed within the framework of the law and respect for his colleagues. It seems to me that we are in very difficult times, after two years of pandemic, where we lost loved family and friends; we should congratulate and wish success to all the teachers who won in good law in the elections. With respect to what the reader says about the “accounts of her guild”, it seems to me that before worrying about that, they should think about combining criteria so that this 2023 we start a new year, where the teacher, affiliated or not, is see support and students begin to improve their performance. We can’t waste time fighting over charges or boxes; time will tell us. Now we have to fight for an education that defends the rights of the teacher and the student. Retired teachers reiterate successes and good omens to the gold, green, light blue, orange list, led by Professor Hugo Marcelo Brito.
