The head of the Buenos Aires government, Horacio Rodriguez Larretacame out to “support” his minister Marcelo D’Alessandro, after he requested a leave from his position after being exposed in the scandal over the trip to Lago Escondido and the leak of chats that reveal the link between the Court and The city of Buenos Aires.
Through a statement titled “We are not all the same”Larreta denounced a campaign of manipulation of information by the ruling party “to attack, persecute and discredit”.
“I trust Marcelo D’Alessandro and I appreciate and support the work he has been doing at the head of the Ministry. And I also appreciate his decision to take leave while making all the information available to unmask this operation of Kirchnerism”said Horacio Rodríguez Larreta.
The head of government remarked that “we have witnessed a new Kirchnerist operation that resorts to the manipulation of information and illegal espionage to attack, persecute and discredit”.
The current candidate for president highlighted the “lowest homicide rates in 28 years” that the City of Buenos Aires has thanks to D’Alessandro’s work and insisted that these conversations by the official would be “false.”
For Larreta, Kirchnerism would have manipulated that information to “distract attention from important issues,” “seeking to generate the feeling that it’s the same anyway,” he denounced through the statement.
“There was a hack, a theft of a telephone line, and with what was obtained there was a montage with manipulated information, completely violating the right to privacy”, Larreta exposed in his networks.
Finally, he said that “it’s not the first time they’ve done it, nor the last time they’re going to do it. They will not move us from our convictions and our values. These operations, these traps, speak much more about them than about us”.
