  • “Citizens must correctly dispose of the pine trees”: Christian Azuara, Director of Municipal Services.
  • Special attention to businesses that sold this type of tree to prevent it from being disposed of in inappropriate places.

The Government of the Capital already has the collection centers for natural Christmas trees in operation, to guarantee that they are disposed of correctly, in addition to using them for compost for the green areas of the city, explained the director of Municipal Services, Christian Ivan Azuara Azuara.

He reiterated the urge to citizens to use these spaces to exclusively leave their trees, since they are not for common waste, hence the relevance of using them for only what they are authorized for.

The sites enabled for this are: the “Morales” Park, along Nereo Rodríguez Barragán avenue; Municipal Greenhouse, on the way to the Dam; Los Filtros, along Tanquián street; Center of the Arts, in Calzada de Guadalupe and Republic; Mercado San Luis 400, on Luis Donaldo Colosio street; Triangle of the Húngaras, in Ricardo B. Anaya and Fray Diego de Soria, as well as Fray Diego de la Magdalena avenue, Vasco de Quiroga corner.

Azuara Azuara recognized the general public for making proper use of these collection centers, however, it is confident that shopping centers or businesses that offer natural trees will also join this responsible practice.

For this reason, this year special attention will be paid to shops that sell natural Christmas pine trees to prevent them from throwing away those that were not sold in places that are not conducive to it, “since last season almost a hundred dry trees, still tied up and tagged that were not marketed, but were abandoned in unauthorized places”.

The director of Municipal Services added that the collections that are about to be opened will remain in operation until the end of January, but with the possibility of extending them until February, “so there is no excuse for correctly disposing of the natural trees that were left unused.” use in Christmas festivities.
