The runway and the beaconing system were fully renovated with an investment of more than 3,000 million pesos. The control tower was also rebuilt and a new operational building was put together. This allows raising the security standards of the airport for the benefit of more than 27 thousand passengers and monthly passengers.

Likewise, with the recent inauguration of the structure, the air frequency to the country’s capital was increased. The new airport has five daily flights to Buenos Aires. The flag line continues to be “Aerolíneas Argentinas” with 3 takeoffs, but Low Cost services such as Jet Smart and Fly Bondi accompany each one with a frequency.
