During the third quarter of 2022 the value of the exports from San Luis Potosí reached an amount of four thousand 398.8 million dollars (mdd), revealed preliminary figures from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).

Compared to the same quarter of 2021, the total balance it grew 39.5% and contributed 3.3% to the national amount that was 134 thousand 876.4 million dollars.

Also, more than 90% of the potosin exports correspond to the manufacturing industrywhile the rest belong to the mining and agricultural sector.

In a national scenario, manufacturing exports represented the 89.6% of the total value of the exports of the federative entities. They followed those of mining sector with 7.9% and those of the agricultural sector with 2.5%.

Regarding the states of the Centro-Bajío, San Luis Potosi was the entity with the best growth for merchandise exports, since in Guanajuato grew 26.3%, in Queretaro 18.1%, while in aguascalientes they did it in 19.5%.

On the contrary, the value of exports in zacatecas decreased 7% compared to the third quarter of 2021.

Meanwhile, the five entities of the country with higher increments in the value of their annual exports were:

  • Gentleman: 95.9%
  • oaxaca: 61.4%
  • Puebla: 57.8%
  • Chiapas: 52.1%
  • Mexico City: 46.4%

On the other hand, those that reflected the highest balance between July and September were:

  • Chihuahua: 20 thousand 151 million dollars
  • Coahuila: Fifteen thousand 613.6 million dollars
  • New Lion: Thirteen thousand 775 million dollars
  • lower california: Thirteen thousand 624.3 million dollars
  • Tamaulipas: Eight thousand 574 million dollars
